MS SQL Cluster and vSphere Replication

Hi everyone,

Our plan is to use SRM with vSphere Replication Appliance to protect our VMs, and replicating them to DR site.

I have question about protectig two node MS SQL Cluster with vSphere Replication and SRM.

Is it possibile to do so? if Yes what are required steps to make replica work fine in case of DR activation.

If this is not supported, what would be the best solution to ensure that SQL cluster is available on DR site?

Thanks in advance!

You can use array-based replication only to protect MSCS virtual machines. Protecting MSCS virtual machines with vSphere Replication is not supported.

Thanks both for quick answer.

Is there any other way to replicate SQL cluster to DR site?

Unfortunaly array based replication is not an option at the moment.

Try to use the SQL replication, or backup/restore.

ANd also you can benefit from the SQL always On configuration if possible.
