How to properly shutdown the VR appliance?

What is the correct method of shutting down the vSphere Replication appliance vm? Exactly where do I go and what do I click in either the vSphere client or the Web client? If you shut it down from the VMs inventory or from Hosts and clusters, you are warned not to as per the attachments, from each client.

I cannot find where to shut it down "properly".

You can use either ShutDown Guest OS option in vSphere clients or the Shutdown button in System tab of VAMI UI for the appliance. The dialogs that you see are informative/confirmatory messages.

Of course, the VAMI. I was thinking there must be some way to use the soultions manager component of either client to gracefully shutdown the appliance.

Thanks.
