How to correctly delete old VM with Replication Appliance?

Hello,

I recently updated the vSphere Replication Appliance from version 6.5 to version 8.1

How to correctly delete an old virtual machine with Replication Appliance 6.5?

When i try "Delete from disk", i get warning message:

Solution VR Management manages the selected virtual machine.

You should not modify the virtual machine directly. Use the

management console of the solution to make changes.

The message/warning you are receiving is just to warn you that this VM is a critical one and you should be careful.

I recommend turning off the VM before, leave a few days and after "Delete from disk".

Upgrade or essentially migrate will transfer all the data, registrations and extensions over to the 8.1 appliance.

You can go ahead and discard the appliance as you would delete any regular virtual machine.

The message comes up for any version of replication appliance since it has a managedby tag to give people a heads up on what they are doing.
