Estimating Disk Space requirements for a VM

Hi,

I am trying to plan for some VMs to be replicated and I would like to estimate how much space will be required to support the replecation.

For example, if I have a VM with a 100GB vmdk, how can I estimate how much space is going to be required for the HBR file.  I know it can be up to 100%, but I'm hoping to estimate what it will actually be, as some of the data stores won't have enough space to reserve 100% overhead for all of the VMs to be replicated.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Dave

Hi, AFAIK there is no way to estimate space requirements, you may need actually up to twice source size.

But you can save a lot of disk space using thin disks on target.
