Cannot recover replicated VMs

I have two vSphere 5.5 clusters at different sites and vSphere replication 5.8 configured to replicate VMs from Site A to Site B. Replication is working normally and all VMs show status of OK. I want to move a VM presently in Site A to Site B.

I attempted to follow the instructions linked below to recover the VM in question at Site B:

http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-55/index.jsp#com.vmware.vsphere.replication_admin.doc/GUID-356D2357-6...

The problem I encounter is that when I right-click any VM under the incoming replication tab at Site B, the 'recovery' option is greyed out and I cannot select it.

I have run a 'sync now' command on the VM I am trying to recover, and the sync completed successfully but that did not result in any change.

I have also rebooted the vSphere Replication Appliance at Site B, but that has not resulted in any change either.

I have recovered VMs previously and did not encounter this problem, so this issue is a recent development.

I have tried recovering with the VM in Site A both powered on and powered off and the recovery option is greyed out in both cases.

I need help understanding why I cannot recover VMs.

Are you using standalone version of VR , or you have SRM on top installed? When replicated VMs with VR are included in SRM protection groups, the Recover option is greyed out in the vSphere Replication UI. Is that your case?
