Hello,
After change vCenter server from Windows to 6.0 Appliance
vSphere Replication Appliance 6.0 dont work.
I try change "vCenter Server Address:" to new IP, but when i press "Save and restart service", i get error:
"Unable to obtain SSL certificate: Bad server response; is a vCenter server listening on the given host and port?"
and new IP not saved.
Hi,
OK so your problem is browser cache. Please close all your browser instances and open firefox clean all browser cache and open VR VAMI UI and navigate to Configuration tab.
PS: Do NOT use IE
Thanks,
Dzhem
Hi,
Unfortunately VR is per VC after you move from Windows to Appliance based VC this means that Appliance VC is already a new instance (different VC). With other words your VR already lost it's OVF environment (Windows VC) and you have to redeploy it and do the same steps (register in VC).
Thanks,
Dzhem
I reinstall vSphere Replication Appliance 6.0, but its not work:
Service Status
VRM service is stopped
When i try press "Save and Restart Service", i get error:
"Missing LookupService address"
Please provide VC IP/FQDN and provide SSO administrator@vsphere.local user and password and then click on save and restart, please.
Thanks,
Dzhem
what means "provide"?
vCenter Server Address already FQDN.
Hi,
As of vSphere Replication 6.0 you are required to configure the solution to work with the Platform Service Controller (PSC) the vCenter is working with.
In order to do that :
- Navigate to the the https://VR_appliance_IP:5480
- Login with credentials you have provided during deployment process of the appliance
- Go to VR -> Configuration tab
- Provide the address of PSC within the Lookup service address box
- Provide the administrative credentials for your SSO
- Click "Save and Restart Service" button

"VR -> Configuration tab" do not have "Lookup service address box" and "credentials for SSO box"
