Hi ,

Please mount the iso file to any virtual cd rom software and check . You should be able to see the package to install VR .

Hi,

The ISO file contains:

- the .ovf and .vmdks for fresh deployment

- update repository - packages needed when upgrading from a previous version

You should be able to mount the .iso image (to a drive letter in Windows or to a folder in Linux) or use some archive utility application to extract the .ovf and .vmdks needed for a fresh deployment.

Regards,

Martin

Thanks

for install VR with ovf file have to install that in 2 step :

1 - Deploy vSphere_Replication_SRM_OVF10.ovf with vSphere_Replication-support.vmdk , vSphere_Replication-system.vmdk ?

2 - Deploy vSphere_Replication_AddOn_OVF10.ovf with  vSphere_Replication-support.vmdk , vSphere_Replication-system.vmdk ?

have to deploy 2 different vms ?

To deploy it you want to select all 3 of the files associated with the type of VR deployment you are doing and the 2 .vmdk files. So for example:

- VR with SRM

First VR appliance:

vSphere_Replication_SRM_OVF10.ovf & .mf & .cert

+

vSphere_Replication-support.vmdk

vSphere_Replication-system.vmdk

For a total of 5 files (each deployment will require a total of 5 files).

Additional VR appliances (after the first one for each vCenter)

vSphere_Replication_Server_SRM_OVF10.ovf & .mf & .cert

+

vSphere_Replication-support.vmdk

vSphere_Replication-system.vmdk

- VR standalone

First one:

vSphere_Replication_OVF10.ovf & .mf & .cert

+

vSphere_Replication-support.vmdk

vSphere_Replication-system.vmdk

Additional VR appliances (after the first one for each vCenter)

vSphere_Replication_AddOn_OVF10.ovf & .mf & .cert

+

vSphere_Replication-support.vmdk

vSphere_Replication-system.vmdk

Note that there isn't anything different in the deployed product between VR standalone and VR with SRM, this is just a change in OVF settings. This will all be published in a blog shortly, I'll post a link to it in this thread.

Hi,

You will only deploy vSphere_Replication_AddOn_OVF10.ovf file if you need to deploy additional or multiple vSphere Replication Servers into your existiing replication environment (e.g. for load balancing purpose). Fyi, each VR appliance has its operation limits. Please refers to kb.vmware.com/kb/2034768 to see these VR deployment limits.
