obtaining ip address with vmtools installed

Hi All

i am able to obtain the ipaddress of all the powered on windows vm's using the "gues.ipaddress" property.

can i obtain the ipaddress of all the linux vm's with the vmtools installed ? i mean does any dns registration required or with vmtools can i obtain the ipaddress?

Once you have VMware tool installed, you should be able to get it without DNS.
