I wrote several applications that use the waitforupdates function to monitor certain events, but all of them use nearly 50% of my CPU irrespective of the filters I am creating. Is this normal ?
What OS and SDK language are you using?
Windows 2003 or XP, VB.NET
Anybody ? Or is this just a normal behaviour ?
No its not normal. I've written a couple of apps that hang waiting for the next "page" of events and the cpu load on the client is nothing.
Tom
