VMware-VI Perl Toolkit appliance issue

I downloaded the 1.0 release of the VMware VI Perl Toolkit appliance, and I have the Guide right in front of me, and I am struggling, right out of the gate. I can get logged in; the guide then directs me to browse to /usr/local/share/doc/vipertoolkit/apps, it does not exist. The Guide also instructs me to log in with visdk as the user, however, the default password or my updated password do not get me in (I can log in with visdk to the console.)

Anyone else having any issues?

What VMware product are you running the appliance on?

Are you using the appliance that runs on ESX or the appliance that runs on VMware Workstation, VMware Server and VMware Player?

Thanks

I started with the ESX appliance, then tried the hosted applicance with the same result.

I d/l the linux installer and ran it. The path to the sample scripts is different than the documentation, but I am finding most of it.

The location in the guide is incorrect.

The apps are under this directory:

/usr/lib/vmware-viperl/apps

The samples are under this directory:

/usr/share/doc/vmware-viperl/samples

The VI Perl Toolkit Appliance guide has been updated with the correct locations for apps and samples.

Please refer http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/viperltoolkit/

for the documentation.
