VI SDK: Virtual Machine 'runtime.suspendTime = Unset' despite being suspended.

Hi All,

I am using the Java SDK and rely on the Virtual Machine runtime.suspendTime property. I have recently upgraded my environment to VC 2.5 and ESX 3.5 and this property is no longer being set by VMware. I have the following setup:

- VC (2.5) with time server setup.

- 2 ESX (3.5) servers configured with same timer server as VC

- Windows XP guests using time synchronization though VMware tools.

I can confirm that VC, ESX, and guests all have the correct and synched time.

Windows guests use power options to place the guest in standby. The guest is configured to be suspended by VMware upon entering standby. I can confirm that the guest is correctly placed into standby by the property is not set (it used to be though).

Thanks in advance,

Christian
