Dear all,
I don't understand what is the vmxpath parameter need for the vmregister perl script.
I can find what is the current syntax for this parameter.
Can somebody help me ?
Many thanks

following is the valid vmxpath synatx:
\[.vmx
Thanks you very much
Hm, I am still confused, how does this syntax map to an existing vm on my esx host ?
eg, my existing vmx is at: my_esxhost:/vmfs/volumes/my_esxhost:storage1/test.example.com/test.example.com.vmx, when I use following --vmxpath value, it just says that it is an invalid datastore path at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/VMware/VIM25Runtime.pm line 1048:
test.example.com/test.example.com.vmx
Another question : what if I named my vmx file differently, eg: just conf.vmx ?
I am using esx 3.5 / VI 2.5
Thanks
