I have a windows service and during service start up I connect to VC . “RetrieveServiceContent’ operation takes time (approximately
5 min) to complete and this happens only during system restart in win2k3
systems. Subsequent restart of my service does not take time. These are my
observation.
1. If
I disable "RasMan" service or if I make "RasMan" service
automatic I don't see said behavior.
2. This
behavior is not seen in Win2k8 system.
Why “RasMan” service is getting invoked when we
call “RetrieveServiceContent”?
