Yes, many people have if you take a look at the DiscussionForum previous threads.

As a start, download the VI Perl Toolkit beta and try vmprovision.pl

That's vmprovision.pl is one approaches I have been trying without luck.

The farthest I've gotten with it is this cryptic error.

Use of uninitialized value in string ne at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/VMware/VIM2Runtime.pm line 496.

Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/VMware/VIM2Runtime.pm line 516.

SOAP Fault:
