When creating a VM via the perl toolkit, I need to allow the user to choose which guestOS they want to use in order to set the guestID. After much searching, I have been unable to find a list of possible values for the guestID value. Obviously the list of OS's is easily gotten just by looking in the VI client at the OS values. However, I can't find a list of the guestID values generated by that list of OS's. Does anyone know if/where such a list exists? If not, has anyone already done the work of finding all the possible guestID values? I'd love to see it if so. I really, really don't want to have to create a VM for each OS and check the config file to see what value it puts in there for the guestID. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
