I wanted to draw your attention to a project I think many of you will be interested in (and indeed may already be aware of): OGF's Open Cloud Computing Interface (OCCI).
OCCI is an open IETF-style working group which will soon deliver a consensus API for cloud infrastructure services (IaaS). Given that a number of public cloud and open source providers have already committed to implement the API it may create an interesting opportunity, particularly for those of you offering public-facing services.
In any case your reviews, feedback, use cases, etc. would be very much appreciated. Here's some information on getting involved and an introductory presentation on the subject.
