How to add a harddrive to a guest VM [in command line interface]?

Hello, guys,

I am trying to script up a process of adding a couple hundreds of RAW device mappings to a guest VM on my Vmware ESX 2.5.

I looked every where I know and still can not find a nice command to do this.

Here is my enviroment : host:VMWare server ESX 2.5, 2 guest VMs(windows 2003 and linux).

Here is kind a command I am looking for : "COMMAND devices_name guest-VM_name"

The documentation of the VMWare cmdline interface can certainly use some improvement.

I would really appreciate it if anybody can point me in the right direction.
