DRS Events and DRS recommendations

Do we have a way by which we can find the reason for VM mirgation under DRS?.

There are events which tell about DRS migration but there is no reason mentioned in it. There is DRS recommendations in CluserComputerResouce as an property. But I could not found any thing which relate this two entities and reason can be formulated for DRS migration.

You can refer EventManager object, it records a virtual machine migration that was recommended by DRS as "DrsVmMigratedEvent".

Yes, the vm which are migrated under DRS , DRS event is generated but the reason (could be a CPU or a memory over load) for which the migration has occured is not present in DRS migration event.

How can i get the reason using API for which the migration has occured?

Currently no API is exposed in VI SDK, by which the reason for migration triggered by DRS can be retrieved.
