CloneVM_Task: How to set new Linux root password?

When I clone Windows VM, I can provide a new Administrators password using CustomizationIdentitySettings. How can I accomplish the same when cloning Linux VM?

I am using VI SDK.

Hi Dzimine,

Setting the root password for Linux based OS is not possible with the VI SDK.

For Linux based OS you can only customize the following:

1. Computer Name

2. Domain Name

3. Network Settings: Add/Modify the NICs and their DHCP related settings

4. DNS Settings
