I am using VI Perl toolkit 1.5 to clone and customize VMs in our environment. The script worked fine with VC 2.0.2 /ESX 3.0.2. Last week VC was upgraded to 2.5. Since then I have been having some issues with my cloning script. Even though the script works fine - no issues with cloning an customization - the network settings are not properly cloned. In the base VM, I have 2 network connections name Primary_connection and Backup_connection. In the newly cloned VM, I get two new connections - Local Area Connection and Local Area connection 2 - with their binding order changed. All this is causing grief to terminal services and other network related services. Any suggestions what's happening?
