Unable to view VMFS DataStore from vSphere CLI in VMA

Hi Everyone,

I noticed a strange problem. I have 2 Shared Datastored OS_VMFS1 and OS_VMFS2 coming from Clariion CX4-120 each of 536G.

I'm able to view both the data stores from vSphere client just fine. However when I use the vCLI one of the DataStore OS_VMFS1 is not visible.

[vi-admin@aisjmvma01 ~]$ vifs $esx01 -S

Content Listing

---------------

OS_VMFS2

aisjmesx01_local

However, I'm able to run commands on that datastore just fine.
[vi-admin@aisjmvma01 ~]$ vifs $esx01 -D '[OS_VMFS1]'
Content Listing
---------------
aisjmpasswi01/
Any ideas on what could be the reason for this behaviour?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Just checked from another WinXP 32bit host with vSphere CLI Installed and the DataStore is still not visible. So, I guess this is not specific to VMA.

Just to confirm, I even deleted and re-created the VMFS that is not appearing in vifs -S.

Thanks again.
