I was planning on buying a Dell T710 with 3 SATA drives in a RAID 5 config using a PERC6 raid controller. in the fine print of the vmware compatabilty guide it said that IDE and SATA raid is not supported in VMFS file systems..does this mean that my servers need SAS drives?
