no connection target machine actively refused it

Dear All,

I am running Veeam 6.1. I have setup one ESXi 3.5 and connected Veeam to it. I wanted to setup a second ESXi 3.5 machine but I have a problem.

I try to 'Add Server' I put in the correct IP address and go with the standard port: 443 however I get the following error:

Unable to connect to the remote server

no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.0.41:443

What's going on??

Hi,

Check the enabled services ( 443)on the host.

Host

Configuration Tab

Security Profile under software

Firewall properties

Good luck

Thanks

These setting were correct. This turned out to be a DNS issue. Although I put the 192.168.0.41 into the esxi host it was going to a different machine. I changed the IP to 192.168.0.45 and everything work as it should.

Sometimes its all to easy to think the worst.

Thankyou for your help in any case,

O.
