Up until 5 minutes ago I wasn't aware of installing the host on a USB flash drive - I've always installed it to the same local RAID or hard drive where datastore1 resides (I know, embarrassing!... and I'm consistently upgrading or migrating host machines and components, so that experience was very painful). I use multiple [free] ESXi hosts at my small office and at home for LOB apps for my small business, aspiring entrepreneurial app dev projects, home media stuff and tinkering with all types of software and hardware... how else can I better simplify and improve efficiency over my current plain ol' installation and datastore on 1 machine setups?
