Snapshot Consolidation

Hi,

I am running VMware 5.5 Environment.

One of our windows server 2008 VM is having Hard Disk Provisioning grayed out.

When I investigated I got to know that the disk which I have is actually created by a snapshot.

I tried removing old snapshots from snapshot manager and it removed the snapshot.

Now after that I am getting "virtual machine disk consolidation is needed" alert.

I tried to consolidate but I am getting following error.

"An Error occurred while consolidating disks: 6 (No such device or address).

Can anyone has came across this ?

This server having lot of performance issues.

Welcome to the Community,

please see whether creating a new snapshot, and then running "Delete All" from the Snapshot Manger solves the issue.

If not, post a complete list of files in the VM's folder (with sizes, and time stamps), and attach the VM's configuration (.vmx) file as well as its latest vmware.log.
