Server 2019 VM Blue Screens

Hello,

I am supporting a small secondary school and they've got a VM that keeps blue screening. It's keeps throwing the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and ATTEMPT WRITE IN READ ONLY MEMORY (NTFS.sys) BSODs.

I have tried reinstalling VMWare Tools, restoring it to a point in time before the issues started occurring and have also changed the SCSI Controller to a paravirtualised to no avail.

There are other Server 2019 VMs running and these are absolutely fine.

VMWare isn't my strong point, so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

it sounds like it might be an issue with the OS. have you tried moving it to another host? When you reinstalled vmware tools did you use the ones on the host or did you download a later version?

you might need to try a backup restore to see if the issue persists?
