Need a way to access the EFI System Partition from the ESXi host.

I see the EFI System Partition listed when using partedUtil and the esxcli storage commands as partition 1.   Is it mounted in the file system somewhere?  Is there a volume or device file I can use to mount it? I need the access to be read/write, not just read-only.

This question applies to ESXi 5.5 and newer OS releases on a server booted in UEFI mode.

I believe ESP is FAT32 formatted by default. I see that during installation, gptmbr.bin is written to the target device. This look to be creating the 4MB 1st Partition. Guess it's FAT32 formatted.

It looks like ESXi can mount filesystems of type vfat (FAT16 to be specific), VMFS and NFS .
