Most stable version of vSphere 7.x, what are your experiences?

Heard some horror stories about some versions of 7.x and coming from a bullet proof 6.5 environment I'm not looking forward to upgrading. Is 7.0 u1 any better than 7.0 u2 from a stability standpoint or is it just random based on hardware. Hoping u2 will be mature enough by the time I'm ready for the install but always hate to be a beta tester.

If you are not using a SD card for ESXi boot, then U2 is stable, Otherwise you are in for a world of hurt.

7.02 (u2) please think twice. Two problem/Changes can directly impact your production setup

1. SD Card Problem

2. Unlimited vMotion Bandwidth. If you are using Standard VSS for vMotion, you got to be extremely careful.

Made sure to order internal storage in addition to the SD cards since I saw this issue before we placed our hardware order. Sounds like for now 7.0u1 is the way to go. Really would love to stay on 6.5/6.7 for a few more years. Been so good to us.

Yeah, I'm planning on avoiding that u2 for the near term.
