Afternoon Everyone,
I've got a bit of a strange situation handed to me, and I'd appreciate a little guidance.
We have two Dell PowerEdge M520's, and a single PowerEdge R210 II.
We do not have high availability purchased yet, but I think I would like to get it purchased and set up.
Using the hardware listed above, with a shared storage of a 6 disk RAID 10, and a 4 disk RAID 5, would I be able to setup the machines hosted on the two M520's to be able to failover to the R210II if one of the M250's were to have issues? I've read a nauseating amount about HA recently, but I'm having a tough time making the call of whether or not what I want to do is possible with what I have. I'd appreciate any insight others can offer.

Yes, you can, but take in mind that if your M520 have much more resources than your R210, not all VMs can power on in case of failure of your M520 due to insufficient resources.
And depending of your CPU configuration you may can even migrate VMs online between this two type of servers... if you want more information about this, share the complete configuration of your servers, including processor model.
For the two M520's, Xeon E5-2450's.
For the R210II, Xeon E31220
I imagine it may cause a problem, because of the cores/threads.
I figured not everything could be transferred, it's more in case one of the blades has issues, the VM's have somewhere to go while it's troubleshot/resolved.
