Hi
I have a W2K3 STD x32 (Physical) server and I am copying over the network a 50GB file (Sql .bak) to a W2K3 ENT x64 (VM) server
The copy never finishes completely as this reaches nearly 3/4 of the way and hangs.
Is there any setting that perhaps set a time out on file copy or something like that?
Thanks, Maelito

Not really. the Guest VM should behave just like the Physical system. Anything interesting in the Windows Event Logs on either system around the time of the hang? Perhaps your .bak file is corrupted?
Any logs on your ethernet switch that you can check?
Did you install the VMware Tools inside your Guest?
I am reaching here.... but maybe one of your ethernet cables is going bad?
hi
The problem was the SCSI controller RAM Cache not being enabled as the battery was not connected... Once enabled the copy was fast fast fast!
thanks, Maelito
