Failover Process of Virtual Storage Appliance Cluster (NetApp Ontap Select) on top of ESXi Cluster

Dear Team,

Need to validate below design with respect to ESXi Cluster. Have explained the scenario using attached jpg diagram.

1. As per attached diagram ESXi Host OS is running on RAID 1 volume (carved out using M2 NVMe disks).
2. NetApp OTS VM is deployed on Local datastore created from RAID 6 volume (carved out using SAS SSD disks) from physical raid controller. OTS will be using hardware RAID and not Software RAID.
3. OTS VM system disk and data disk (both vmdk’s) are residing on the same local datastore.
4. OTS Cluster will be created first on the standalone ESXi Host and once the OTS cluster is created we will be mounting the NFS shared volume on both standalone ESXi Hosts.
5. Now after presenting the shared NFS Volume to both ESXi Nodes from within the OTS Active node, we will be creating ESXi cluster.
6. Now we will create the other VM’s on NFS shared volumes and these VM’s will be part of the ESXi Cluster.
7. In this scenario if one of the OTS Node goes down or if the Entire ESXi Hosts goes down due to hardware issue, what will be the ESXi and VM failover and Failback process. Will it be done automatically or there will be any manual intervention.
