Why my ESXi 4.0 license expired after 60 days though its an free version ?

Hi 21srk,

It's free but you have to register and install a license to activate it. Have a look at this kb.

With the free edition you still have to enter a license code. Go here - http://www.vmware.com/go/esxi - click the link to get ESXi and after you login you should be able to see your license code.

In the vSphere client go to Configuration > Licensed Features and add the license key.
