ESXI4 WITH DATASTORAGE IN A NFS SHARED

I am trying to figure out if anyone has experience running the ESXi4 datastorage on a NFS, i am running it in my lab and i am not seeing any performance issues.

Is this supported?

Currently i am using a linux server with an export NFS, the server has 2 Gig Nics.

The prefer configuration is to have a NAS using NFS (when i say prefer i meant when using NFS), so my question is:

Could I use a server (that I already have) with 4 orr 6 Gig Nics and SCSI drives to be my NAS? I will agregate all those NICs port in the switch.

NFS is a fully supported datastore in ESX(i). You can utilize multiple NICs but you don't get an aggregated bandwidth. http://blog.scottlowe.org/2008/07/16/understanding-nic-utilization-in-vmware-esx/

You can use a standard Linux install with the native NFS server.
