ESXI 7: Cannot set Gateway in Custom TCP/IP Stack

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying desperatly to set the default Gateway of a custom tcp/ip stack an I get only the error that "DnsConfig.address" is missing.

The stack is editable in the GUI, is opeartional and has a network interface and port group...

Any sugesstions everyone?...

Hey BMarcel​,

I think this error is relatet about missing DNS configurations on the ESXi host you are trying to configure and not specific to the VMkernel. Could you please check inside the DNS tab on the ESXi if you have all the information filled?

I cant find any DNS-Tab for the Host in EMSXI7. The DNS-Settings shown unter "Hardware" are taken from the default TCPIP Stack...

I've solved the Problem by building the routing manually using SSH....
