Connecting multiple VM hosted on different Hypervisor

Hello,

I'm trying to make 6 VM installed on 3 different Esxi Hypervisor talk each other.

The 6 VM are with de same OS (debian 10), without any firewall configuration yet.

There are 2 VM per Hypervisor.

In the same hypervisor VM talks each other as expected

Every VM can reach the gateway and Internet.

They have the same VLAN ID handle by group port on esxi.

They all have different MAC address.

Here is the topology:

esxi0 (version 6.5.0 Update 3)

  • VM0 192.168.52.2/28
  • VM1 192.168.52.5/28

esxi1 (version 6.5.0 Update 3)

  • VM2 192.168.52.3/28
  • VM3 192.168.52.6/28

esxi2 (version 6.0.0 Update 2)

  • VM4 192.168.52.4/28
  • VM5 192.168.52.7/28

For now :

  • VM0 pings : VM1, VM3, VM4
  • VM1 pings : VM0, VM2, VM5
  • VM2 pings: VM1, VM3
  • VM3 pings: VM0, VM2
  • VM4 pings: VM0, VM5
  • VM5 pings: VM1, VM4

I tried to see where the blockage could come, but I have no clue.

I tried to see what's happening on network with TCPDUMP, but I don't know if it's relevant.

  • Requests from VM5 are seen by VM4 when directed to esxi0(VM0 & 1)
  • Requests from VM3 are seen by VM2 when directed to esxi0(VM0 & 1)
  • Requests from VM1 are seen by VM0 when directed to either esxi1 or 2

What am I missing ?

Is this type of architecture even possible with Esxi?

Thank you for your help
