Where can I locate a list of command line interface commands (either via PowerCLI, SSH and local console) that can be run with a free ESXi (5.5 or 6.0) host?
I see that many commands are not available in the free version, but I'd like to have a list.

Hi,
as far as I'm aware the free Hypervisor only allows read-only access through the scripting toolkits as PowerCLI and Perl.
I don't know about any SSH/console limitations.
Tim
If you SSH into a host you can use ESXCLI, there should be no limitation: vSphere Documentation Center
Its all about authentication if you have proper credential you can connect your box from rCLi ,vMA and remote ESXi also.
One more thing you can use all the feature of VMware in the Evaluation license.
Hi,
there should be no difference in available ESXi shell commands between vSphere Hypervisor and paid vSphere editions.
The main difference is that "free ESXi" -> vSphere Hypervisor have its API only for read only access which limits/prevents
remote management of that hypervisor using vCLI, PowerShell, Perl ... (including vCenter and vMA)
Can you please post what commands you missing in ESXi shell?
