Hi,
We are switching from the old windows vSphere client to the new web client.
I use several machines to make some automated tests run during day or night.
My problem is that with the machines that have been switched to the web client, even if the resolution could be fixed to 1920*1080, when I close the window and I re-open it I see black stripes (you could see attached screenshot...)
As the robot for automated tests runs with the GUI, I need to have a 1920*1080 screen resolution at every moment.
I obviously cannot let a physical machine run during the night to keep this screen resolution...
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mehdi
If you use the VMRC this shouldn't be an issue and you can see the console of a VM with no obstructions.
I do second this. Use VMRC to work with the VM. It is free client uses host settings for the monitors.
Try it and feedback if it works for you.
Hi guys,
Thank you all for this clue.
There is something left yet :
I need a 1920*1080 screen resolution.
- I set up the vmx file by adding theses lines at the file :
svga.autodetect = "FALSE"
svga.vramSize = 8294400
svga.maxWidth = 1920
svga.maxHeight = 1080
but when I set this resolution in Windows after opening it through VMRC, it changes itself to 1904*967.
so I re-set to 1920*1080... launch the automated test, and close the console.
The automated tests runs ok, it keeps the right resolution (1920*1080). But when I re-open the console with VMRC it re-sets to 1904*967...
Could anyone advise please... My tests run, but I would like to avoid re-set the screen resolution every time I open the console...
Thank you,
a little "up"...
