Is Unregister the same as Remove from Inventory?

Hi,

vSphere 6.5

Is Unregister the same as Remove from Inventory?

Is Register the same as Add to Inventory.

I need to manually move my vcenter appliance from 1 host to another.  When I connect directly to a host I don't see Remove from Inventory.  Is Unregister the same?
