Datastore browser times out

I'm using the ESX embedded host client, and it's a really welcome development, so thanks!

However, I find that I cannot browse the datastore at all, I get timeouts every time I try. Is there a log file somewhere I can look at to see what's happening? Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Hi there,

Can you tell me what version you're using?

Also, is the datastore a standard VMFS datastore backed by locally attached disks or a SAN, or is it NFS or some other file system?

I have had this a few times and I'm running ESXi6U2 on a test server.

I can upload an ISO fine but then if I try a second ISO it failed to see any datastores with a timeout.

I closed VMRC that I was using to view a VM and then tried again and the datastores were fine but not sure if that was coincidence.

My test server connects to a FC SAN and was standard VMFS.  I'm using v7 of the embedded web client.

Thanks for the update.

This is the second time I have heard that users are experiencing a timeout when VMRC is open. It is very strange to me that these are related! I haven't been able to reproduce the issue locally, unfortunately.
