Cannot log into host from vSphere client

Hi,

I have an issue where I cannot log in to my hosts from the vSphere client. This is the error message:

vpshere-client-log-in-issue.PNG

I also cannot ssh to the client. Attempting to connect via ssh returns "Network error. Connection refused.

The hosts are up and all my virtual machines are running. I am using the correct credentials. I am able to log in with the vSphere client to my vCenter. This issue is only with my attempts to connect directly to the hosts.

Can anyone help?

I have some more information regarding this error. I first encountered the error last night when my host crashed that was hosting vCenter. This morning I rebooted the host and that eventually allowed me to log in to vCenter and restart my virtual machines. The error with logging in to the hosts persisted with this reboot. I would also like to know if anyone can shed some light on the stop screen for the host when it crashed:

Seems you hit the PSOD described in KB 2059053

Could you check if SSH is enabled from vCenter on the host? Also try telneting to the port 22 of the ESXi and confirm if it is allowed to accept incoming connections.

This would be the first steps to start your troubleshooting.
