I'm investigating the possibility of implementing the HA application monitor using the Guest SDK. The api seems pretty simple, but I notice that vmware-appmonitor.dll is not present in the standard installation of the vmware tools. So the question, is this dll redistributable? Due to security reason, i do not know if I can redistribute the dll, so in the worst case, there is an alternative way to implement heartbeat or reset function for vSphere HA application monitoring ? Or there is the source code of vmware-appmonitor.dll ?
