cant find vmware tools pre-freeze-script and post-thaw-script scripts

VCB document says the freeze and thaw scripts should be in

/usr/sbin/pre-freeze-script

/usr/sbin/post-thaw-script

but i can only see the vmware tools power, suspend & resume scripts in /etc/vmware-tools/

  1. ls -l /etc/vmware-tools/

total 60

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 39938 Jul 26 21:57 installer.sh

-rw-rr 1 root root 3743 Nov 28 10:30 locations

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 299 Jul 26 21:57 poweroff-vm-default

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 299 Jul 26 21:57 poweron-vm-default

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 2109 Jul 26 21:57 resume-vm-default

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 1767 Jul 26 21:57 suspend-vm-default

i've now copied & renamed vmware tools power, suspend & resume scripts from /etc/vmware-tools/ to /usr/sbin/ and they ran immediately before and after the vcb initiated snapshot

so this may just be a bug in the vmware-tools install that doesn't create templates for these files ?

(or maybe i had vmwsvr tools installed instead of vmwesx tools ?)
