vsphere virgo log NOT updating

hi.  I restarted my vsphere server after unregistering my plugin and deleting it's related package files.  now after restart, my vsphere_client_virgo.log is not updating.   this is vCenter Server Applicance 6.0.

btw, i did try updating the serviceability.xml and set <root level="DEBUG">, but that didn't help.  ideas?

How did you exactly unistall your plugin?

Few things to try/check:

  • delete the /usr/lib/vmware-vsphere-client/server/work folder
  • check the permissions of the serviceability.xml file. There is a chance that you have modified the owner or privileges of that file and the virgo might not be able to read it.
  • check the permissions of the virgo log folder /storage/log/vmware/vsphere-client/logs
