I have a problem with the vmtools display on the summary page.
I have the following configuration
VMware ESXi Hypervisor, 7.0.3, 20036589
Guest OS: Ubuntu Linux (64-bit)
Compatibility: ESXi 6.7 U2 and later (VM version 15)
VMware Tools: Not running, not installed
My problem: I downgraded vmtools Open-vmtools to VMware Tools 10.3.25 due to a request from my customer.
However, after downgrading the summary via the browser informs that it is not installed and is not running, despite being installed on a VMware Tools 10.3.25 version, that is, in my guest vmtools is installed with the old version but it does not appear in the summary like vmware information tools.
Can anyone explain how to solve this problem?
