Web client doesn't accept password

Hi guys,

I am new to the VMWare to please excuse my ignorance.

I have installed vCenter 5.5 on a test environment successfully but whenever i try to login to the vpshere webclient using the password that i entered during installation i.e. SSO, it always comes up saying "invalid credentials" Interestingly, it accepts the password of my windows server "administrator" account :-S but after logging in i don't see any inventory nor the vcenter server in there.

Just to let you know i have tried logging using the username as "administrator" and "administrator@vpshere.local"

Am i missing anything? please help as this is driving me crazy Smiley Sad

To be able to see your vCenter server in your vSphere Web Client you may need assign permission to your Windows Administrator user, to do this log on vSphere Web Client with user administrator@vsphere.local and follow the step 5, 6, 7 and 8 from this tutorial: Back To Basics: Post-Configuration of vCenter 5.5 Install (Web Client) | Mike Laverick...

You are posting to the wrong forum. This one is about the Web Client SDK.

You'll need to login with the SSO credentials, are you able to login using the vSphere client ?

You could try resetting the SSO password
