future of big data extensions

Hi,

Is the big data extensions end of life or is it still something that will be updated and continued?

I don't see an answer to this question. Does this mean that BDE is end of life or something on which VMware is not working on anymore?

I checked with support. And here is their response:

BDE will be discontinued on 2018, so I wouldn't recommend it for a serious work
