vRealize Orchestrator 6.0.1 client on Ubuntu 14.04

I'm using Ubuntu since the last 3 years. But now, with the new vRealize Orchestrator 6.0.1 virtual appliance, the client doesn't work anymore.

Every time I run a workflow who has selection input, it hangs when I click on it.

Does happend this to anyone else? Do you know what can I do?

Thanks a lot,

D.

One of my colleagues who also uses Ubuntu confirmed that sometimes he is having the same issue. Unfortunately he wasn't able to provide a workaround other that trying to move/reorder the windows on the desktop until the input selector window becomes visible.

Is it possible that input parameter selector window is opened properly but then goes somewhere in the background where it is not visible and thus the entire vRO client looks blocked?

Are there exceptions in vRO client and server log files around the time you open input selector?

Hi Illian,

That is exactly what is happening to me.

I'm doing a tail -f on the vco.log file and, at the time of the click, no error is shown.

However, I see this error in the file:

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" ...

org.springframework.remoting.RemoteAccessException: Could not access HTTP invoker remote service at [https://vroServer:8281/vco/webremoting/vcofactory.service]

Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

But, I can work with the client in Windows 8.1.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help, that was it.

When the popup windows disapeares, just type "Alt + Space" and the missing windows contextual menu appeares. Then select move and take the window back to the visible side.

Great!
