vCenter can't find vCO appliance

I deployed a vCO 5.1 and did the configuration... I can access trough a Orchestrator client with no problem...

But when I log in at Vcenter Web Client, I can't connect to vCO appliance... The vco appliance doesnt shows at Vcenter orchestrator server field.

My Vcenter is 5.1

Thanks.

Hi,

This is a link with the detail instruction of how ot configured:

http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-20368

Some of the steps are optional there. Please do read the comments below the post. I will re-iterate the steps that you have to check.

1. vCenter certificate imported

2. SSO configured

3. VCenter configuration is configured with username/password.

4. The vCenter Configurator is all green!

5. You can login to vCO Client

6. Can browse the vCenter inventory objects in vCO client.

7. In order to make sure that vCO is register as an extenssion, follow the documenation for “Check Whether Orchestrator Is Successfully Registered as an Extension”:  http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/topic/com.vmware.vsphere.vco_install_config.doc/GUID-2E89186B-E44F...

Hopefully, this would give you some idea where to check.

Please, let me know if you still have the issue after walk trought the troubleshooting steps.

Thanks,

Igor.

Running out of ideas of what might be the issue 😉

Could you please check one last thing:

1. Go to vCO Configurator Network settings and check if it is 0.0.0.0 or it is set to the real ip. Please select from the drop-down the correct ip if it is 0.0.0.0

2. Since the ip is different now, you need to repeat the step with vCenter configuration.

Go to vCenter configuration, edit the current configuration, enter the username/password and press apply.

3. You need to logout from vSphere Web Client, refresh the browser in any case and login again.

Please, let me know if this last thing will work.

Hi Igor,

I check my vcenter web client now, and the vco is working fine. I can see  vCOconnected to Vcenter.

In fact I dont know what happens.... maybe vco needs a time to start the synchronization with vcenter...

Thank you for your attention,

Lucio.
