Hi,
this morining i try to install the 32bit Client on my Windows XP remote machine... but what must my dry eyes see? There is no 32bit client since 4.1.1 😞
Hope you know it now before installing a Windows 32bit machine 🙂
best regards
Christian
I had no time to check if the 32 bit binary was in the 4.1.1 archive. If it is not in and if you want to stay on a 32 bit client you may be able to use vCO 4.1.0 client with 4.1.1 server. We may not officialy support this configuration but it may very much work since I am not aware of any model change in 4.1.1.

Hi Christian,
How do you try to obtain the 32 bit client installer?
It is true that vCenter Orchestrator could be installed on 64 bit only (http://www.vmware.com/support/orchestrator/doc/vco_411_release_notes.html#downloadandinstall).
However, the standalone 32bit client installation should be available according to http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vco_410_install_config_guide.pdf, page 25.

Try this workaround - start server installation and select client only.
Hi Martin,
in the past the 32bit client was available in the vCenter download section below the vSphere Client. Now this seems to be that in the future the client plattform also will be only 64bit 🙂

Can you point me to the link where you are looking for 4.1.1 version?
Also, is there a problem if you can install the last available 32 bit version for you?

Hi,
after looking into the vCO path of the vCenter Server Installation CD, there is the 32bit client 🙂 So the location has changed...
