vCAC & vCO Integration Help: Can add vCAC host, but object is empty!

environment /w external vCO server:

vCAC server build: 6.0-1720522

vCO appliance build: VMware-vCO-Appliance-5.5.2.0-1992027

vCAC plugin version: vCloud Automation Center 6.0.1.1768706

when I run the workflow to add a vCAC host, I was able to on the default tenant as well as a created one. Problem is that these vCAC host objects are empty, so I cannot run workflows such as "Delete an approval policy" even though they exist in vCAC.

An update....

strangely enough, if I create vCAC Infrastructure Administration objects, they are nearly fully populated (everything except for those Approval Policies that I'd like to modify!).
